Hey friends! It’s been a while since I last posted but things are going good. Health is good, mind is functioning great, and family is well. I’ve been doing a ton of research, reading a lot, and also finishing my autobiography as well as starting a new project (which I’ll get to in a second).
The research is for two books I’m going to write after I finish my autobiography. The autobiography is basically a guide for my kids that tells the story of my life and the lessons I learned so that even if I die, they’ll be able to have me with them, giving my advice and important lessons I learned. In looking at the table of contents and number of pages written, it’s easy to see that all of the most important and life changing lessons I learned came after college graduation.
My new project is a blog geared towards helping people who’ve just learned they have cancer cope with the fact that they may die and die soon. It’s also for the family members, relatives, and friends of these people. Finally, it’s for people looking for answers about their life i.e. why did this bad thing happen to me, why do bad things continue to happen to me, I’m in so much pain, my life sucks, etc… Basically I want to help people that simply need someone to talk to that can relate.
The entire project is based on “Amor Fati” a latin phrase meaning to accept the good and bad things that happen to you in life equally – to love your fate. This one phrase helped bring me out of depression (which I suffered from the first few weeks of my diagnosis) and put me at ease with my fate. It wasn’t easy but contemplating and meditating on this phrase helped me in a big way!
So without further ado, you can sign up here www.dailyamorfati.com to receive an email notification when the site opens up. I have a ton of cool content that I’m writing about and I truly hope that it can help some of you.
Have a great rest of the weekend!
